Tail Lights LIN Interface

Introduction
This manual describes the installation of the LinBuster interface in a RAM 1500
(model year 2025 and newer).
ONLY FOR HIGH-TRIM MODELS WITH LED TAILLIGHTS
For lower trim models equipped with halogen taillights, this interface is not required.
Functions
- Removes turn signal blinking from the brake light.
- Disables the reverse light function on the original reverse lamp.
- Relocates the turn signal to the reverse light.
- Sleep mode with ultra-low power consumption (approx. 40 µA / 0.04 mA).
Installation
Remove the taillights.
- Open the tailgate.
- Remove the 2 screws and 2 fastners.
- remove the tail lamp unit by pulling straight towards the rear of the vehicle.
- Disconnect the wire harness connector.
Installing the amber filter
- Place the lamp unit on a clean, soft surface.
- Mark this area and cut it away using a cutting tool.
- Create a small opening in this plastic part.
- Slide the amber filter into the reverse light position.
- Use black water-resistant sealant to close the openings.
- Make sure the assembly is fully waterproof.
Preparing the connections
- Open the connector locking ring by rotating it counter-clockwise
using needle-nose pliers.
This will require some force and will produce a clicking sound.
- Pull the connector out.
- Remove the plastic sticker around the cable.
- Use a wideband wire stripper to partially strip the Yellow and Red wires.
- Cut the green wire, and strip both ends.
Connecting the interface
- Cut and isolate the unused Blue and Purple wires.
- Connect the interface wires as shown below.

Remounting
- Insert the interface into the lamp housing.
- Reinstall the connector by twisting it clockwise until locked.
- Reinstall the lamp assembly.
No coding is required.
Do not forget to install an additional reverse lamp.
